I took up open water swimming in 2008 in Australia. Since then I have competed in over one hundred open water swims around the world, and worked as a swim guide in Croatia and Greece. In recent years I have taken to swimming year round in the Scottish lochs without a wetsuit, and have competed at Ice Swimming Championships in England, Scotland and Ireland. I am also a fully qualified open water swim coach available for coaching sessions from my current base in Glasgow in Scotland. These sessions can be one-to-one, or group sessions, and will be tailored for your ability level. I offer sessions for all categories of swimmers, for those wanting to start wild swimming for the very first time, through to those who want to challenge themselves with long distance swims of 10km or more. The blog is a description of the events that I have competed in and other wild swims undertaken, and my progress as a swimmer, guide and coach.
